Oona’s son Anthony, her grandchildren Stephen, Katie and Eva, daughter-in-law Mandy & all the family wish to express our sincere thanks for the compassion and support shown to us throughout our loss. We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours, relatives, and well-wishers who visited the funeral home; to those who attended Oona’s removal, requiem Mass and burial, especially those who travelled long distances and everyone who provided support to the family at this difficult time, please know that your thoughts, kind words, prayers and actions were truly appreciated.
Thank you to those who sent floral tributes, Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, emails or texts; to those who phoned, wrote or shared kind condolences and happy memories online, as well as those who made charitable donations. Thanks also to those who couldn’t be present but kept us in their thoughts and prayers and joined in the celebration of Oona’s requiem Mass via the parish webcam.
Special thanks to Fr Martin Paravookaran who celebrated the requiem Mass and to soloist Michael Flood and musician Trish Kavanagh, your kind words and beautiful music helped make the Mass meaningful and special. Thank you to the friends and family members who served as pallbearers, your support and presence meant so much to us.
The family would like to express our deep gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services in Wicklow, their wonderful care of Oona gave our family much comfort in her final weeks. In addition, we would also like to convey our profound appreciation to Madeline, Helen, Olive, Margaret and Denise for all their care and support.
Thank you to Jason and Tom for preparing Oona’s final resting place. Thanks all the staff at The Old House for their hospitality.
Finally, our sincere thanks to Helena and all at Hudson’s Funeral Directors, for their exceptional assistance, guidance and understanding through a very difficult time.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
