Very Rev. Fr. Edward (Eddie) Moore P.E.

‘Marian House’, Sallins Road, Naas, Co. Kildare and formerly of The Wastegrass, Tullow, Co. Carlow.

Retired Parish Priest of Allen Parish, who passed away peacefully on September 19th 2025

in the wonderful care of the staff of Naas General Hospital.

 

Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Nicholas, his sisters: May (Mary) Fox, Sr. Bernie and his brothers: Garrett, Paddy and Fr. Nicholas. Deeply regretted and forever missed by his loving sister Rita Kearney, nephews, nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews. His friend and carer, Rose, kind parishioners of Naas, Sallins and Two Mile House who enjoyed Eddie’s friendship. A dear colleague to the Naas Parish Team and Staff, Bishop Denis Nulty, fellow priests, former parishioners, relatives and friends.

 

Fr. Eddie’s remains will repose at the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas at 12noon on Saturday 20th September, Mass of Thanksgiving at 2pm. Immediately afterwards, Fr. Eddie’s remains will be removed by Glennons Funeral Directors to The Church of the Holy Trinity, Allen for Reception of Remains and Prayers at 4pm approx. His remains will repose until 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Sunday 21st September at 2pm in Allen Church followed by burial to St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Tullow, arriving at approximately 5pm, where Fr. Eddie will be laid to rest with his parents.
