Terry Shannon

Terry Shannon (Blackhorse Grove, Dublin 7) passed away peacefully on 3rd August 2025 in the loving care of St Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown surrounded by his family. Pre-deceased by his parents Bridie and James, brothers Jimmy and Martin and sister May. He will be sadly missed by his loving daughter Cayla, son-in-law Connell, grandchildren Liam, Stephanie, Sarah and Sasha, brothers Charlie, Bernard, Tony, David, Paul, Kenneth and Laurence, sisters Rosaleen, Jean and Maria, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins Tina and Frances, his friend George, neighbours of Blackhorse Grove, work colleagues in Tesco and Tony Buckley Butchers, Queen Street, his extended family and a large circle of friends.

Terry was a gentle soul, a kind heart, a man of quiet strength and thoughtful intelligence. His warmth, wisdom, and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He met life with grace, humour and unwavering love for his family.

Reposing at Bourke’s Funeral Home, 71 Queen Street, Dublin 7 on Thursday evening from 4pm until 7pm. Terry’s Funeral Mass will take place on Friday morning at 11.30am in St Michan’s Church, Halston Street with cremation afterwards at Glasnevin Crematorium.
