Sisters of Mercy, Tralee and formerly of St Brendan’s Park, Tralee and California, USA.

 

Sister Dorothea passed away peacefully, in the loving care of the dedicated staff of the Palliative Care Unit at UHK on Wednesday November 5th in the presence of her family and Mercy Sisters following a long illness borne with great courage, dignity and faith.

 

Pre-deceased by her parents Seán and Kitty, her sister Caitriona [O’Connor], brothers Donnacha, Pádraig and Éamonn.

 

Much loved sister of Seán [Wicklow] and Dermot [Louth]. Sr. Dorothea will be sorely missed by her loving family, nieces Joanne, Niamh, Sinéad and Sara-Kate, nephews Tomás, Éamonn, Peter, John, Shane, Colm, Brian, Conor and Aidan, grandnieces, grandnephews, brother-in-law Tommy, sisters-in-law Noline, Bríd, Pauline and Marion, extended family, neighbours and friends.

 

May Sr. Dorothea’s Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

 

Reposing at McElligott’s Funeral Home, Tralee on Friday from 3.00PM to 5.00PM. Funeral arriving to Our Lady and St Brendan’s Parish Church, Tralee on Saturday at 12.00 noon where the Requiem Mass for Sr. Dorothea will be celebrated at 12.30PM followed by interment afterwards in New Rath Cemetery.
