Serena Downey

It is with deep sadness we announce the unexpected passing of our beautiful Serena Downey, aged 29, in Perth, Australia, on October 20th, late of 86 Feale Drive, Listowel, Co. Kerry.

 

Serena was vibrant, kind, hardworking and loved by all who knew her. Her infectious laugh, courage and her positive attitude will be forever missed.

 

Serena is the beloved daughter of Helen McDonald and the late Dino Downey, stepdaughter of Martin McDonald and cherished sister of Raymond, Jane, Ally, Anthony and Nico.

 

Serena will be sadly missed by her loving grandfather Michael, her godparents Jack and Sarah, aunts Caroline, Mary, Michelle and Linda, uncles Jack, William, Mickey and Kevin, her only nephew Callum, her closely bonded cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends from Ireland, New York (Kayleigh Maxwell) and her very large circle of friends in Australia.

 

Reposing at the Gleasure Funeral Home, Greenville, Listowel on Tuesday (11th November) from 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. Funeral arriving to St. Mary’s Church, on Wednesday morning at 10.15 a.m. where the Requiem Mass for Serena will be celebrated at 10.30 a.m. (streamed on www.listowelparish.com). Interment afterwards in St. John Paul II Cemetery, Ballybunion Road, Listowel.
