Rod Steve Wood (Leenane, Co. Galway formerly of Lambourn, Berkshire, UK) June 22nd 2025- Rod passed away peacefully, surrounded by his devoted family, following a courageous battle with illness. Predeceased by his beloved parents, Steve and Gladys, and his brother Keith.

Deeply mourned and forever loved by his heartbroken wife Patricia, son Timothy, daughter Lucy, cherished grandchildren Sebastian and Charlie, adored great-grandchildren Zoe and Oisín, brother David (Pip), sister Pamela, daughter-in-law Siobhàn, son-in-law Jonathan, and his wide circle of extended family and friends in Leenane, Lambourn, and beyond.

May He Rest In Peace


Rodney will rest in repose at Leenane Community Centre (H91 P0EK) on Tuesday, (June 24th) from 5:00pm, concluding at 7:00pm, followed by a farewell journey through the village he held dear. A celebration of his life will take place at Gaynor’s Bar thereafter.
