The death has occurred of Rev Fr. Patrick Hayes PE, priest late of St. Mary’s Parish, Irishtown, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, formally of 21 Leamy Street, Waterford and more recently in the excellent care of the staff of Care Choice Nursing Home, Dungarvan.
Fr. Patrick Hayes passed away on Wednesday evening, 5th November 2025 at Waterford University Hospital. He is predeceased by his brother Michael Hayes. Beloved brother of Frank Hayes, and Anne O’Connell (nee Hayes). He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends, Bishop and Priests of the Waterford and Lismore Diocese especially Mrs. Margaret Tierney, Fr. Billy Meehan, Fr. Bobby Power, Fr. Paul Waldron.

Reposing in St Mary’s Church, Irishtown, Clonmel, on Monday 10th November, from 6pm with prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass at 12noon on Tuesday followed by burial in Old Cemetery Tramore.
Our very grateful thanks as well to Bishop Alphonsus for his kind and generous time with Fr. Patrick near the end of his physical journey.
