The death has occurred of Philomena Latimer nee Shanley, Cloonageeher, Bornacoola, August 5th 2025 (peacefully) in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar,

Predeceased by her sisters Madeline and Marion. Beloved wife of Charlie, and dear mother to Pamela, Georgina Moorhead and Raymond, sadly missed by her children, daughter-in-law Kathleen, son-in-law Floyd, grandchildren Simon and Gemma, brothers and sisters; Tommie (Longford), Charlie (Killashandra), Michael (Bornacoola), Addie (Ballinasloe), Ann (Dromod) and Sadie (Mullingar), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives, neighbours, and friends.

May Philomena rest in peace

Philomena will repose in Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford (N39 EC81) on Thursday from 6pm until 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon in St Michael’s Church, Bornacoola (N41 E421), followed by burial in St Paul’s Cemetery Newtownforbes.
