It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father Philip McNamara, St. Munchin’s Street, St. Mary’s Park, Limerick and Ex Limerick Docks and Limerick City and County Council.

On November 6th 2025, peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by his loving family.

Philip is now reunited with his beloved wife Josephine (Cora)

Adored father of Christopher, Catherine, Philip and Christina.

Philip will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family, grandchildren Evan, Stuart, Shannon and Leona, great grandchildren Kayden, Kenzley, Karson, Alaya, Franco Jo, daughter-in-law Helen, son-in-law John, brothers Martin and Stephen, sister Elizabeth, nephews, nieces, other relatives, friends and neighbours.

Philip will repose at Cross's Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Monday, November 10th, from 3.30pm to 5pm, followed by removal to St. Mary's Church, Athlunkard Street.

Philip's Requiem Mass will take place Tuesday, November 11th, at 12pm, funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence (extension) Cemetery.

Philip’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of University Hospital Limerick to Eileen Bourke and our kind neighbours for their support at this difficult time.
