Olive, beloved wife of Patrick and cherished mother of Eoin, following an illness borne with admirable fortitude and forbearance, passed away

peacefully on 2nd August 2025 in the presence of her family, in the exceptional care of the Palliative Care Unit, University Hospital Kerry. Olive is

deeply mourned by her family, her sisters Mai and Angela, her brother John, her grandchildren Odhran, Fionán, Dara and Caoimhe, her daughters-in-

law Kim and Aoife, sisters-in-law Marion and Liz, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Predeceased by her beloved son Donal, parents Johanna and Daniel, brothers Donal and Ned, and her sister Theresa.

 

May Olive rest in peace.

 

Reposing at the Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee on Monday from 3 to 5 p.m. Funeral arriving to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Rathass,

Tralee (V92 DX62) on Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. where the funeral service for Olive will take place at 10:00 a.m. Private cremation to follow.

 

Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to The Palliative Care Unit, U.H.K. (via “Donation” link below – Kerry Hospice Foundation), or care of The

Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee.

 

Olive’s family wish to record their deep appreciation and profound gratitude to the Palliative Care Unit for the outstanding care given to her and the

compassion shown to them at all times. The family also acknowledges with sincere thanks the support and assistance of HSE personnel for invaluable

services rendered.
