In the early hours of Tuesday, 17 June 2025, Michael died peacefully surrounded by family and in the care of the staff at Galway University Hospital.
Pre-deceased by his brother Seán and sister Eileen Scully.
He will be greatly loved and forever missed by his family; his wife of 30 years Bernie and only son Michael, brothers; William, Stephen and Patrick, and sisters Mary Flynn and Ann Needham. He will also be fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, Michael’s partner Danielle, nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

Reposing at the Church of the Holy Family funeral parlour, Mervue, from 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. The entrance to the funeral parlour is through the main Church with the entrance /exit door for wheelchairs in the Car Park.
Friday, June 20, 2025
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Michael on arrival at St. Columba's Church, Castlegar at 11 a.m. Following Mass he will be laid to rest in Carrowbrowne cemetery. Mass will be live streamed here. House private please.
Memorial Donations, if desired may be made in memory of Michael to the Galway Parkinson's Association.
