Matilda O’Flynn
(née Fitzgerald)
O'Flynn, Matilda (nee Fitzgerald), late of Ballyphilip and Templeisque, Glanmire, Cork.
Matilda (late of Upper Glanmire National School) passed away peacefully on November 8th, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Matilda will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband John, children David, Colman, John, James, Mary and William.
Pre-deceased by her parents Pierce and Sheila, her sisters Mary and Breda, and her brother John.
She will be forever remembered and loved by her adored grandchildren, Aoife, Sean, Rory, Daragh, Barry, Kate, Tom, Alison, Rachel, Daniel, Isla, Julia, Seán, Róisín and Ava Matilda, her sister Betty and her brother Noel, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, sisters-in-law and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and her wide circle of treasured friends and neighbours.
Reposing at Barry Bros. Funeral Home, Hazelwood Glanmire on Monday (November 10th) from 5.00pm to 6.00pm.
Requiem Mass at 11.00am on Tuesday (November 11th) in St. Joseph’s Church, Springhill, which will be live streamed
Funeral afterwards to Rathcooney Cemetery.

The family wish to express heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Elizabeth Ryan, Dr. Brian Bird, the staff of St. Bernadette’s Ward, Bon Secours Hospital, Cork, the Marymount Community Palliative Care team, the Community Nursing team and everyone who cared so lovingly for Matilda.
