Callahaniska, Glenbeigh and formerly of Douglas, Killorglin

 

We are deeply sad to announce the death of Mary who passed away very peacefully on Saturday 14th June 2025 in the caring hands of the nurses and staff of Palliative Care at University Hospital Kerry Tralee. Pre-deceased by her parents Diarmuid and Nora, her twin baby brother and her brother John. Beloved wife of the late Micheál, much loved mother of Vera, a dear mother-in-law to Alison and a loving and gentle nana to Eoin and Cormac. Mary will be forever missed by Vera and Alison, her loving grandchildren Eoin and Cormac, her sister-in-law Ida, her brother Gerald and sister-in-law Mary. Mary will also be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and by her extended family and friends. Mary will be remembered for the many special friendships she made during her life’s journey, especially Catherine O’Sullivan.

In Paradisum deducant te Angeli, Et aeternam habeas Requiem.

May the Angels lead you to Paradise, May you have everlasting rest.

 

Reposing at Brennan’s Funeral Home, Glenbeigh (Eircode V93 DK7F) on Monday 16th June from 6.00pm - 8.00pm. Funeral will arrive to St. James Church, Killorglin on Tuesday 17th June for Requiem Mass at 10:30am, followed by burial in Ardmoniel Cemetery, Killorglin.

The family would like to thank all staff at University Hospital Kerry for the care and comfort given to Mary. Also to Dr Anne Cronin and her staff for years of dedicated general practice.

 

The family would also like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Kathleen and all the staff at the Killorglin Day Care Centre where she spent many enjoyable Fridays.
