Margaret (Noreen) Hand

Margaret (Noreen) Hand, passed away peacefully June 16th, 2025 in Dublin Ireland. She was 93 years young.

 

Noreen was born June 5th, 1932 in County Monaghan, Clones Ireland. She is the daughter of Hugh and Lena (Ward) Hand.

 

Noreen was predeceased by her brothers Brendan, Billy, Jerry, Jim, sisters Blauna, Mary and Kathleen. Surviving sisters are Eva and Alice.

 

At the age of 19 Noreen immigrated to the United States and lived in New York. She worked for Chrysler Motors for over 30 years. Upon retiring, she returned back to Ireland to live and care for her sister Eva.

 

She enjoyed attending and watching a variety of sporting events, with the New York Yankees being her favorite team. She was an amazing cook and avid baker, known for her delicious meals and sweet treats. She also took great joy in gardening and had a deep love for her dogs.

 

She was blessed with many nieces Lynette, Valentina, Rosemary and nephews Dereck, Michael, Paul, Brenden, Andrew, Billy, Robert and Aiden.

 

Family and friends can call on Sunday, June 22nd, 2025 from 5:00-7:00pm at Martin’s Funeral Directors, Newbliss, Monaghan H18 EA36 . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am June 23rd, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church, Clones, Ireland. Interment burial to follow at the family plot in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
