Maeve Hughes

Hughes (nee Swords) Meave, (Dalkey, Co. Dublin and formally of Lusaka, Zambia) 22nd June 2025. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at the Ferndean Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband Joseph and grandson Korak. Adored mother of Orla, Derval and Clodagh. Devoted grandmother of Tanya, Jack, Lucy, Sean and great-grandmother of Sofia, Isla May and Illaria. She will be sadly missed by her sons-in-law Brian and Patrick, sister-in-law Bernadette, step-grandchildren Brendan, Liam, Mark and Kim, niece Sara Jane, nephews Hugh and Simon and her wide circle of friends in both Ireland and Zambia.

May she rest in peace.

Funeral Mass on Thursday (June 26th) at 11.30 am in the Church of the Assumption, Dalkey followed by committal in Mount Jerome Crematorium. For those that cannot attend, the Mass can be viewed using the following link: https://www.churchservices.tv/dalkey.
