The death has taken place at the Lake House Nursing Home, Portnablagh of Lily McElhinney (nee Stewart) Rush Vale, Kill, Dunfanaghy, Co. Donegal, F92 R2P3. Sadly missed and much loved by her sons Samuel (Heather), Alan (Rosaleen) and Ivan (Sharon) and her daughter Hazel (Andrew Alcorn), her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, her brother Charles, sister Eileen, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Jimmy McElhinney and granddaughters Elaine McElhinney and Janice Alcorn.
Reposing at her home from 2.00 p.m - 10.00 p.m on Sunday 9th November and Monday 10th November from 11.00 a.m. - 10.00 p.m. Funeral Service in Holy Trinity Church, Hornhead Road, Dunfanaghy, on Tuesday the 11th November 2025 at 2.00 p.m. Burial afterwards in Clondahorkey Cemetery. Family time on the morning of the funeral. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Creeslough Day Centre and The Lake House Comfort Fund c/o any family member or James Harkin Funeral Director.
