Liam Tierney

Liam, passed away peacefully in Clonea, Co. Waterford, 7th August, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Ann (née Peters) and cherished father of Mairead Tierney, Annemarie Dwane, Jacinta Byrnes, Noeleen Morris, Tom Tierney, Jacquelyn Dunne and Louise Walsh. Loving grandfather to his 17 grandchildren and great-grandfather to baby Millie.

Deeply missed by his wife and family, sons-in-law Jim Dwane, the late Liam Byrnes, Conor Morris, Noel Dunne and Brendan Walsh, daughter-in-law Gráinne O’Keeffe, Mairead’s partner Mark Hughes, his brothers Seán and Micheál, sisters Marie and Úna, brother-in-law Liam Peters, extended family, neighbours and many dear friends.

May Liam’s gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at Costigan’s Funeral Home, Cahir on Saturday 9th August from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 3pm in St. Mary’s Church, Cahir, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
