The death has occurred of
Kathleen Abbott
On September 20th, 2025, Kathleen, peacefully passed away in the presence of her family, after an illness borne with dignity at Cork University Hospital. Beloved daughter of the late Ted and Bridie Abbott. Deeply mourned by her sisters Mary Anne, Sarah, Elizabeth, her brother Timothy (Tadhg), her niece Elaine, nephews - Martin, Mathew, Callum and Fionn, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles and cousins, friends and neighbours.
May she rest in peace.
Kathleen’s family would like to thank all the staff at St. James Hospital and Cork University Hospital for the care and kindness shown to Kathleen and her family in recent years and weeks, it is very much appreciated.
Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel Street, Bantry on Tuesday Sept 23rd from 5pm with prayers at 7pm followed by removal to St. Fachtna's Church, Adrigole. Requiem Mass on Wednesday September 24th at 12 noon with burial immediately afterwards in Kilcaskin cemetery.
