John Anthony (Tony) Meehan, (Retired Inspector An Garda Síochána), Terenure, Dublin and formerly of Keenaghan, Ballymote Co. Sligo. 3rd September 2025, peacefully, surrounded by his family, in the excellent care of the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross.

Dearly loved by his devoted wife Ann, sadly missed and loved by his daughters Caroline, Rosanne and Sarah, and his sons David, Andrew, Paul and Kevin, daughters-in-law Trish, Sue, Alana and Jennie, his grandchildren, great grandchild, son-in-law Ian, his sister Maureen, brothers Brian and Martin, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Eileen, his brother Pat and sister Valerie.

Reposing at Fanagan’s Funeral Home, Kimmage (D6W N279) from 5pm to 7pm on Friday 5th September. Requiem Mass in the Church of St. Pius X, College Drive, Terenure, Dublin 6W (D6W A611) at 10am on Saturday, followed by burial in Killallon Cemetery, Clonmellon, Co. Meath. John’s Mass will be streamed live via the link below.
