On November 9th, 2025, JANIE passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Fairfield Care Home. Loving mother of the late John. Janie’s big smile will be sadly missed by her children, Jacqui, Barry and Helen, son-in-law Ger, granddaughters Christina, Becky, Abi, Jodi, Hannah, Meela and Janie, her great-grandchildren Shia, Bonnie and Harper, all her nephews, nieces, relatives, her best friend Joan, all her friends at the Bantry Day Care and Fairfield Care Home.

The family would like to thank all who kindly helped care for Janie at Fairfield Care Home, her private carers, HSE Home helps, Bantry General Hospital and all at Bantry Day Care Centre. You all made it possible for her to have a wonderful life.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel Street, Bantry on Monday Nov. 10th from 6pm to 7.30pm with vigil prayers at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon at St Finbarr’s Church, Bantry (to view live stream please click here) followed by cremation service at 3pm at the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Bantry Day Care Centre, Hospital Cross, Bantry.
