James (Jim) Snell, Knocklishen, Rathvilly, Co. Carlow – 5th August 2025 peacefully in the care of the wonderful staff of Tallaght University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his siblings, Olive, John and Winston and his granddaughter Zoe. Sadly missed by his loving wife June, daughters Gillian, Alison and Tracy, sons-in-law Lorcan, Brian and Nigel and adored grandchildren Lara, Mia, Holly and Drew. He will be greatly missed by his beloved siblings Sam, Marjorie, Nancy, Florrie, Muriel and Rosemary, his brothers-in-law and especially his dear friend Walter and life long friend Billy, nieces, nephews, wonderful neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Halligan’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Rathvilly (Eircode R93 C560) on Thursday from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7.30pm followed by removal to his residence at 8pm for private reposal. Funeral arriving to St. Mary’s Church, Rathvilly on Friday for 2pm service after which he will be laid to rest in the adjoining Churchyard.
