Gerard Laverty

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gerard Laverty, who died peacefully on Friday 1st August, in the compassionate care of Aras Mhic Shuibhne, Mullinasole, Laghey, Co. Donegal, surrounded by his devoted family.

Formerly of Drumathumper, Frosses, Co. Donegal, Gerard was the beloved husband of the late Jean, a cherished father to Sally, Jean, Patricia, and Gerard, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather to his 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed by his surviving siblings; Ralph, Maire, Sally and Kathleen, as well as by his extended family, friends, and neighbours.

Gerard's remains will repose at Gallaghers Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles F94 X02N on Sunday 3rd August from 2pm until 5pm, with a private cremation to take place at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.
