The death has occurred of George Lavin, Drumaunroe, Jamestown, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim.
George passed away peacefully, on Friday 1st August 2025, in the tender care of the staff of Arus Carolan, Mohill, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his mother Mary, father Charlie, brother Cha, and sister Kay.
George will be sadly missed by his sisters Attracta (Millar), Maura (Flynn), and Lily, brothers Paddy and Mickey, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Sacred Heart Church, Jamestown (N41 FP82) on Sunday 3rd August from 5pm – 7pm, followed by prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Monday 4th August at 11am. George will be laid to rest afterwards in Jamestown Cemetery.
