The death has occurred of
Frank Hunter
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Frank (Fran) Hunter, late of Ballybrack and formerly Sallynoggin, who died on 19th June 2025 at Blackrock Hospice, surrounded by his loving family, after a short illness.
Sadly missed by his beloved wife Anna, sons Stephen, Paul and Kevin, Daughters in-law Paula, Lisa and Sinéad, Grandchildren Aisling, Alannah, Amy, Ríona, Alex, Sara and Shauna. Great grandchildren. His brother John, sisters Geraldine and Mary, sisters in-law Bernie, Dodi and Freda. Pre deceased by Mam Eileen, Dad Tommy and brother Eamon.
In keeping with his generous and curious nature, Fran made the remarkable decision to donate his body to medical science through the Anatomical Gift Programme at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), enabling future generations to learn and benefit from his gift.(For more information, see: RCSI Anatomical Gift Programme)
As such, there will be no traditional funeral or service at this time.
No flowers, please. Donations, if desired, can be made to either Blackrock Hospice (https://olh.ie/fundraising/), or the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in Fran’s memory.
Fran will be forever loved and deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
