Elizabeth (Liz) McGowan (Née Harrison) Carney, Co. Sligo and formerly Emmet Place, Sligo – September 19, 2025. Unexpectedly but peacefully in the exceptional care of the nurses and staff at Mowlam Nursing Home, Sligo. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Mary B. and her infant brother John. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving husband Eugene, sister Patricia Feeney, brothers-in-law Cyril and Mark, sisters-in-law Marion and Anne, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at McGloin’s Funeral Home, Cliffoney (Eircode F91N880) on Sunday the 21st September from 2pm to 5.15pm. Removal at 5.15pm to St Colmcille’s Church, Rathcormac to arrive at 6pm. Requiem Mass on Monday morning the at 11.30am with burial afterwards in Rathcormac Cemetery. Anyone wishing to offer their sympathies can do so on the condolence section below.
