The death has occurred of
Dr Veronica Hearn
Hearn – Veronica (Von) aged 86 years passed away peacefully at the Whittington Hospital, London on the 28th October, 2025. Born in Dundalk, Von grew up in Kilkenny and lived most of her life in London, in East Finchley and before that at Barons Court.
Beloved youngest sister of the late Mona, Marie and Jim, and much loved aunt to Andrew, Frazer, Barry, Lesley, Niall, David, Denise & Shane.
A traveller, a scientist, a lover of culture in all its forms, Von will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all her great nieces and nephews, her cousins, her extended family and many friends.
May She Rest in Peace.
Von’s cremation service took place at the Islington Crematorium, London, on Wednesday 5th November.
Funeral Mass and a celebration of Von’s long and rich life, takes place at 10am, on Saturday the 15th of November, at The Church of the Assumption, Booterstown Avenue. Burial afterwards in Deansgrange Cemetery.
