Dermot (Dermie) Coen

Ballydugan, Newtowndaly, Loughrea, Co. Galway.

Who passed away suddenly but peacefully, in Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, on Tuesday the 5th of August 2025.

Predeceased by his father Dermot and mother Bridie.

Dermot will be sadly missed by his loving brothers & sisters Jimmy, Marian, Kathleen Flynn (Puckane, Nenagh), Tom, Gerard (Killimor) and Breda.

Dermot will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Mike, Breda’s Partner Kevin and by his nephews Michael, Mark, Alan and Paul and their partner’s, cousins, relatives, neighbours, friends and the extended Coen and Fahy families and his ever-trusted sheep dogs.

Dermot will lie in repose in Kilboys Funeral Home, Loughrea (H62 KF63) on Thursday 7th of August from 5 to 7pm.

Dermot’s funeral cortege will arrive to St. Jarlath’s Church, Ballydugan, for Requiem Mass on Friday 8th August at 11am, followed by burial immediately afterwards in Ballydugan Cemetery.

Dermot’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to all their extended family, neighbours & friends for all their kindness and help, at this very sad time.

May Dermot’s kind and gentle soul rest in peace.
