Its with deep regret I've learned of the passing of Carol. After 30 years our paths crossed again and we shared light hearted moments reminiscing and discussing life and poetry albeit under difficult circumstances. You achieved so much in life, education, career and family and will be greatly missed. Deepest condolences to Anne, Hugh and family.

I was so saddened to learn of Carol's passing. Such a great loss and far too soon. She had great warmth, strong belief and a gentle soul, may she rest in peace. My condolences to you all.

Deepest sympathies to all of Carol's family in particular her girls of whom she was so proud. Carol was full of life, full of fun, and full of love - this lives on through her daughters. I was so sad to hear that Carol has passed away. I worked with Carol in DkIT, and remember how she spoke so lovingly of her family, especially her girls, of whom she was so proud. You were a light in all our lives—deeply loved by your family, your cousins, and everyone lucky enough to know you. I will always remember you as my dear cousin and childhood friend, the one I laughed with most, running barefoot through sunlit gardens with ice creams in hand. Those joyful days live on in my heart.

Your strength, your unshakable faith, and your love for God and Our Lady inspired us all. Even in your hardest days, you carried such grace and courage.

Your greatest legacy lives on in your four beautiful daughters—Aoibhín, Moya, Rosaleen, and Tara. In them, we see your spirit, your kindness, your laughter. And in your love with Robert, we saw a joy that warmed everyone around you.

As you rest now, we pray that Mary holds you close and that St. Clare leads you gently home. You are with us always—your laughter, your strength, your love—a light we will carry forever.

I was so very sad to hear about Carol’s passing. We met many years ago as teenagers in
Drogheda and then we met again some years back for coffee and she very kindly gifted me a beautiful children’s book she had written with her daughter Aoibhin for my son which I will forever treasure. A beautiful lady inside and out. Sleep well Carol x
