The death has occurred of Bridget (Bridie) Doherty (nee Allen), Gortboy, Kilmallock, Co. Limerick. Bridie, in her 101st year, passed away peacefully on 20th September 2025, surrounded by her family in the exceptional care of the staff of the Bon Secours Care Village, Mount Desert, Cork.

Bridie, dearly beloved wife of the late Tom (C.I.E.) and dear mother of Kay (Keating, Cork), Pat and Eilish (Fitzgerald, Cork), dear grandmother of Sharon, Aileen, Edel, Ruth, Sara, Kieran and Conor, and great grandmother to her 16 great grandchildren.

Her death was predeceased by her husband Tom, her brothers John, Harry, Michael and Bill and her sister Abina.

Bridie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, sons-in-law Jim and Tony, daughter-in-law Eleanor, sisters Nora and Mary, sister-in-law Nora, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing this Tuesday evening, 23rd Sept, at Daffy's Funeral Home, Kilmallock from 6.30pm followed by evening prayers at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12noon in Ss. Peter & Paul's Church, KIlmallock followed by burial afterwards to the local cemetery.
