The death has occurred of Bernadette Mathews (nee Fitzpatrick), Cappoge, Dunleer, on 3rd August 2025, peacefully at home.

Bernadette is predeceased by her husband Finn, sisters Mary and Frances and her brothers Pat and Denis. Bernadette will be missed by her sons Nicholas, Paul, Stephen, Patrick, Finnian, Philip, Joseph, her daughter Julia Keaveney, daughters-in-law Pauline, Daisy, Sandra, Ursula and Genevieve, son-in-law Hugh, Ann Marie and Liliia, sister Sheila, brother Nicky, grandchildren Conor, Ciara, Ashling, Katie, Meadbh, Tom, Aine, Robert, Matthew, Ciaran, Daire, Catherine, Fianaith, Paraic, Stuart and Fionn, sister-in-law Mary, nephews, nieces, godchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Bernadette Rest in Peace

Bernadette will repose at Connor’s Funeral Home, Dunleer (A92 V38H) on Tuesday, 5th August, from 2pm until 7.30pm followed by removal to St Brigid’s Church, Dunleer arriving for Evening Prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday, 6th August, at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Mosstown Cemetery.
