Ann Curran, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on the evening of Sunday, June 15, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born and raised on Trim Road in Navan, Ann was known for her fun-loving spirit, generous heart, and personality that made everyone feel welcome. She had an infectious laugh and a deep love for her family, friends, and community. To know her was to love her.
She emigrated to America in the 1970s and spent most of her life in Woodside, Queens, NY, and her last few years Blairstown, NJ, with her son Francis and her family.
Ann is survived by her devoted husband Kieran, her loving children Frances and Allyson, her cherished daughter-in-law Veronica and her adored grandchildren Saoirse, Declan, Liam and Seamus, who brought her endless joy. She is also lovingly remembered and missed by her brother Michael Murray, sisters-in-law Mairead, and her nephews Ian, Neil and Graham, and the extended Murray Curran families. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, William and Ellen Murray.
Ann passed away on Father's Day - a poignant and meaningful time. She missed her own father dearly, who died three months after the birth of her son. It is fitting and beautiful that she joined him on this special day.
Ann faced dementia with grace and strength since 2021, supported throughout by the unwavering love of her husband Kieran and her family and friends. Even in illness, her kindness and humour still managed to shine through.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, both in Ireland and here in America.
May she rest in peace.
