Katie-Anne O'Toole is an accredited Holistic Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and Energy Healer based in Co. Roscommon. Katie-Anne is a co-founder of Jacinta’s Smile, which was set up in 2016 after the death of her three siblings. One of these was in childhood and two were in young adulthood. Katie-Anne and her family knew just how deep sibling loss can echo throughout the family and ripple through the community. There were no specific sibling loss charities in Ireland at this time, so Jacinta’s Smile was set up to support children and young adults that have lost a sibling through their profound loss and the challenging journeys with their heartache and grief. Check out their website for more details. With each article Katie-Anne writes, she always ensures to invite people to take their time to read the post—slowly and gently. Even the act of reading and allowing this space to engage in their grief can offer some reassurance and quiet comfort. It is not a one-size-fits-all—there is no manual for grief, just like there is no manual for birth. Each person’s experience is different due to their own perspectives, circumstances, and coping skills. Take the information that lands into a healing place for you and leave the rest. You will find your own style in your grief. If you would like to work with Katie-Anne for therapy or healing online or in person in Roscommon, then contact katieanneotoole@gmail.com.
