We, the family of the late Malachy Mc Aleer, wish to convey our gratitude to everyone who expressed their sympathy during our recent bereavement. We would like to thank all those who attended the wake and the Requiem Mass, some people travelling long distances to do so. Thanks to everyone who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and those who wrote letters of condolence. Thank you all.
Malachy's Requiem Mass was celebrated by Father Kevin Mc Elhennon with Co-Celebrants, Canon John Mc Kenna from Trillick and Father Peter Mc Loughlin from Derry. The powerful voice of soloist, Karl Mc Guckin resonated throughout the Church and the music of Ray Cox filled the air in the graveyard. Thank you all for your contribution.
We thank you, Father Mc Elhennon for the deeply meaningful Mass and for your comforting and inspirational ministry.
We wish to thank all medical staff who supported Malachy during his illness, Dr. Fergus Keane and his Oncology Team in St. Vincent's Hospital, Dublin; the Doctors and Staff of Drumragh Family Practice; Community Nurses and all other Health Professionals.
There are no words to adequately express our heartfelt appreciation for the compassionate and expert care that Dr. Maurice Carroll, a family member, provided for Malachy throughout his illness. Heartfelt thanks.
To our neighbours and friends who supported us throughout Malachy's illness, through daily prayer and kind deeds, to those who prepared our home, provided food and to those who worked so diligently during the wake, your kindness and support will never be forgotten.
We wish also to express our gratitude to Peter O'Kane, Funeral Director for his professionalism and for the dignified way in which Malachy's funeral was conducted. Thanks also to the gravediggers who prepared Malachy's final resting place.
Thanks to Mark and Mairead McBride for providing refreshments in Killyclogher Hall after the Mass.
To the Members of Trillick G.A.A. and Staff of South West College who formed Guards of Honour outside the Church, thank you for this gesture of respect and support.
We trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a measure of our sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped us in any and every way.
Malachy's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, Killyclogher on Sunday 9th November at 9.00 am.
