William Canning

Canning, William (Liam) – 16th October 2025, (Malahide, Dublin and formerly of Deanery St. Derry), Late of Eircom and Past Captain of Malahide Golf Club (peacefully), surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of staff at Anovocare Nursing Home. Beloved husband of the late Josephine and loving father of Séamus, Nora, Mary, Paddy, Nuala and Bairbre. Very sadly missed by his sons and daughters, daughter-in-law Rosemary, sons-in-law Paul, Conor, Shane and Mick, grandchildren Ronan, Hugh, Kevin, Nora, Conall, Paddy and Rory and their partners, great granddaughter Heidi, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Staffords Funeral Home, Portmarnock on Monday evening 20th October from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Tuesday morning to the Church of St. Sylvester, Malahide arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland (link at the bottom of this page).
