Vera Kennedy
(née McLoughlin)

The death has occurred of Vera Kennedy (neé McLoughlin) Carniara, Lavagh, Ballymote, Co. Sligo. 2nd November 2025. Peacefully at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar in her 94th year.

 

Predeceased by her husband William, her parents Edward and Delia, sisters Annie Jo and Mary Treasa, brothers John Eddie and Pakie.

 

Vera will be deeply missed by her loving daughters Mary Boland (Tooreen) and Christina (Chrissie) Byrne (Drumkeeran), sons-in-law Martin and John Joe, grandchildren Shane (Aoibhe), Fergal (Roberta), Patrick (Amanda), Jason (Eimear), Marie (Tom) and Kate, great grandchildren Shay, Fiadh, Tadhg, Aoife, Sean and Senan, sister-in-law Bernadette (Manchester), niece Martina, nephew Patrick, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Vera will be reposing at the Knocknashee Community Hub, Mullinabreena (F56 W744) on Monday evening 3rd November from 5pm – 7:30pm, with removal to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Mullinabreena (F56 C864) for prayers at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Tuesday 4th November at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Court Abbey Cemetery.
