September 16th 2025 peacefully surrounded by his family after a short illness bravely borne

in the loving care of the team at North West Hospice, The Mall, Sligo,

former Borough Councillor and Mayor of Sligo, Peace Commissioner, County Sligo Connacht Champion and Sligo Rovers goalkeeper.

Dearly loved husband of Patsy and father of Olivia, Jordan and Glynn.

Predeceased by his parents Delia and Luke and siblings Vincent (Becky RIP), Margaret (Michael RIP), Michael (Maura RIP),

John P. (Frances) and Padraig (Pauline).

Sadly missed by his loving wife and family, brother Seamus (Nora), sisters Carmel (Seán RIP), Breedge (John RIP) and Toni (Tom),

son-in-law Colin, daughter-in-law Christine and Glynn’s partner Claire, brothers-in-law especially John (RIP) and his wife Mary, sisters-in-law especially Rosario and her husband Michael, grandchildren Ryan, Alex, Robyn, Abbie, Conor and Stephen, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at the family home 20 Cleveragh Road, Sligo F91YV5Y from 5.00pm to 8.00pm on both Thursday September 18th and Friday September 19th.

Removal at 10.30am on Saturday September 20th to Saint Anne’s Church, Sligo arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 11.00am. Funeral Mass livestreamed at https://mcn.live/Camera/st-annes-cranmore

. Committal at 7.00pm on Saturday evening at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.
