The death has occurred of
Sr. Mary Jo Sheehy
SHEEHY (Arus Muire, Scartagh, Clonakilty, late of Dungarvan, Co. Waterford and Ring, Clonakilty): on September 9th 2025 peacefully in the tender care of the Staff at Marymount University Hospice and in the presence of family and community after a brief illness. SR. MARY JO beloved daughter of the late Eugene and Edith, sister of the late Kit, Edith, Maura, Pat and Ted, aunt of the late Noel. Lovingly remembered by her nieces Marie, Hazel, Ger, Ginny, Carmel and Aisling, nephews Eamonn and Eugene, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grand nieces and nephew, extended family, the Sisters and Staff in Arus Muire, Clonakilty, the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy and her many loyal neighbours and friends.
Reposing in O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Clonakilty on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 5pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6.45pm. Requiem Mass on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 12 noon in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Clonakilty. This will be livestreamed here. Funeral afterwards to St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clonakilty.
