The death has occurred of
Sr Margaret Hackett
Hackett, Sr. Margaret (Convent of Mercy, Greenhill, Carrick on Suir, Co Tipperary and Portlaw (late of Frehans, Newcastle, Co. Tipperary) September 12, 2025, peacefully in Sonas Nursing Home, Carrickbeg. Predeceased by her parents Richard and Catherine, her sisters Anne, Ena, Gabriel and Mary, her brothers, Seamus, Richard and Michael. Sadly missed by her sisters Patricia, Monica, her nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, brother-in-law Tony, her sister - in- law Nan, her Mercy Sisters and extended family and friends.
May she rest in peace.
Reposing in the Mercy Convent, chapel Carrick-on-Suir on Monday, September 15th from 4 pm to 6.00pm with Evening Prayer at 5.30 pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11.00 am in St Patrick’s Church, Portlaw followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
