Sr. Helen (Ellen Christina) SHEEHY

Sheehy, Sr. Helen (Ellen Christina), Sisters of Mercy, St. Joseph's Convent, Brentwood, Essex, UK and late of Craughdarrig, Asdee and Clounamon, Ballylongford, Co.Kerry. Sr. Helen (Lena as she was more affectionately known) passed away peacefully on 12th October 2025 following a short illness borne with great courage, dignity and faith surrounded by her loving family, Sisters and staff of the Sisters of Mercy, St. Joseph's Convent, Brentwood, Essex.
Predeceased by her parents John and Margaret, brothers Sean and Tom and sister Elizabeth. Sr. Helen will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her brother Timmie, sisters Julie, Bernie, Mary and Sr. Monica (Peggy), sister in law Teresa Sheehy, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, extended relatives, the Community of the Sisters of Mercy and a large circle of friends in Craughdarrig, Asdee.

May Sr. Helen's kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

Funeral mass and burial for Sr. Helen will take place in the UK with arrangements to be published, once finalised.
A memorial mass for Sr. Helen will take place in St Mary's Church, Asdee at a later date.

The Sheehy family would like to say a particular word of thanks, to the Community of the Sisters of Mercy, doctors, nurses and care staff at St. Joseph's Convent for their exceptional care, kindness and support shown to Sr. Helen in recent times.
