Sonny (Nicholas) O'Grady

Sonny O’Grady Cloontrask, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon, Tottenham, London and formerly of Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny. June 6th, 2025 (peacefully) at home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Julie-Ann, and his brothers, Paddy and Micheal. Loving husband of Mary and father to Nuala McNeely (London), Carmel Rogers (London), Catherine Beacroft (Essex), and Tish Garvey (London). Sonny is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, his daughters, his adored grandchildren — Christopher, Sarah, Rosie, Emma, Nick, Holly, Jack, Jake, Georgie, and Josh — and his great-grandchildren, Liliella, Evie, Harper, Mia, Maddy, and Cian. Also, by his brother Brian (London), and his sisters Veronica Dowley (Wexford), Kathleen Connelly (Castlerea), and Mary Bridget Hamilton (London), as well as his sons-in-law, Joe, Steve, George, and Pat. Brothers-in-law John, Michael, and Roy, sister-in-law Margaret O’Grady, extended family, neighbours, and friends.

Reposing at McDonagh’s Funeral Home, Castlerea, on Tuesday evening from 6 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Funeral arriving at St. Patrick’s Church, Castlerea, on Wednesday morning for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o’clock, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin.
