Sonny (Michael) Keenan

Publican and former Funeral Director. Sonny died peacefully, on the 25th August 2025 surrounded by his heartbroken family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary, son Donal, brothers Desmond (Dessie) and TP, sister Philomena (Phyllis).

Sonny will be forever missed and remembered with pride and love by his heartbroken daughters Sinead (Greene) and Denise (Flood), sons-in-law John and Dillon, his adored grandchildren Donal, Setanta, Dominic, Nathanial, Pearse and Shanaibh, his sisters Frances (Kennedy) Drumlish, Anna (Reilly) Aughnacliffe and Bridie Quirke) Aughnacliffe, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and his wide circle of friends and his many loyal customers throughout his 50 years in business.

Your life was one of kindly deeds,
A helping hand for others needs,
Sincere and true in heart and mind,
Beautiful memories you leave behind.

Rest in Peace Sonny.

Reposing at his residence (N39 YV99) on Thursday 28th from 3pm until 9pm. Funeral Mass on Friday 29th at 1pm in St. Mary's Church, Edgeworthstown, followed by cremation at 4pm in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd, Cavan. Funeral Mass can be viewed live click on the link below.
