Sheila Downey
(née Lang)
DOWNEY, Sheila (née Lang), (Lucan, Co. Dublin and formerly of Sooey, Co. Sligo) October 31st 2025 (peacefully) at home.
Beloved wife of the late John, much loved mother of Conor, Darvree, Fergal and Evin, a devoted grandmother of Ciaran, Shane, Niall, Elaine, Aoibhín, Éanna, and Cúan.
Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughter, son-in-law Donal, daughter-in-law Gillian, grandchildren, relatives, friends, and kind neighbours. Predeceased by her grandchild baby Liam, her parents John and Elizabeth, and her beloved siblings Padraig, Maura and Sean.
May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Lucan on Sunday evening (November 2nd) from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.
Removal on Monday morning (November 3rd) to St. Patrick’s Church, Esker arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.00am followed by cremation at Newland’s Cross Crematorium.
