With deep sadness we announce the death of
Raymund (Ray) Bergin
Hermitage Glen, Kells, Co. Meath
and formerly of
Charleville View, Tullamore, Co. Offally
22nd July 2025
Aged 59 years
Ray died peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff of the Mater Private Hospital Dublin
following a long illness borne with great courage and dignity.
Predeceased by his father Denis .
Survived by his wife Margaret, his adored son Lorcan, mother Mary, brothers Denis (Helena)
Enda (Catherine), father and mother-in-law Ambrose and Mary Gavigan,
nieces, nephews and the extended Bergin and Gavigan families, friends, neighbours and ex HSE Colleagues
and his faithful little companion Millie.
Ray will repose at Mc Entee’s Funeral Home Newmarket Street Kells (A82KOD7)
on Thursday from 4pm - 7pm
Removal from funeral home on Friday morning at 10.30 am
to arrive at St Colmcille's Church for Funeral Mass at 11am

followed by cremation at Lakeland’s Crematorium Cavan at 1.15pm

Ray will be fondly remembered as a fisherman and a gentle and kind family man who was loved by all.

The Meath Palliative Care Team and the wonderful Medical and Nursing staff at the
Mater Private Hospital all of whom cared for Ray with great dignity and respect.
