Patricia Shannon (nee Harrington) Carane, Castleplunket, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Mallow and Allihies, Co. Cork. April 23rd, 2025 (peacefully) at her residence. Predeceased by her beloved husband Johnny, and her brothers John and Frankie. Loving mother of Peter (Carane) and Bernadette (Farrell, Ballymacurley). Patricia will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son and daughter, her adored grandchildren; Eileen, Raymond, John, Áine, Patsy, James, Maire, Anthony and Peter and her great-grandchild Croía. Also, by her sisters Mary Rudden (Mallow), Julia Walshe (London), Cecilia McLaughlin (Donegal) and Attracta O’Sullivan (Mallow), daughter-in-law Geraldine, son-in-law Brian. Brothers-in-law Michael Rudden, Michael Walshe and Sonny O’Sullivan. Nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at McDonagh’s Funeral Home Castlerea, on Sunday evening from 4 o’clock until 6 o’clock with removal at 6:15pm to Ballinaheglish Church (arriving approx 7pm). Funeral Mass on Monday at 11.30am with burial afterwards in Ballintubber Cemetery.
