Noreen Gavin
(née Maher)

Noreen Gavin (Nora P) (née Maher), Cloughanover, Headford Co. Galway and formerly of Tourmakeady, Co. Mayo, 11th September 2025, in her ninety seventh year, peacefully at home with her daughter Dolores and family. Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Tommie and her infant son John. She will be deeply missed by her family, Ann English, Adrian, Dolores Doyle, Joe, Paul, Tomás and Diarmuid, sons-in-law Brian English and John Doyle, daughters-in-law Mary, Martina, Trish, Helen and Deirdre, 23 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, brother Tony and his wife Margaret (Ennis), sisters Crissie Pringle (USA) and Grace Cock, and her husband Jim (UK), nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Noreen will repose at Carey’s Funeral Home, Claran Road, Headford (H91 E6X9), on Saturday 13th September from 5pm until 7pm. Removal from her home on Sunday morning to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Tourmakeady for requiem Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Guesdian Cemetery, Ballinafad.
