Nora Hynes
(née Hession)

On Wednesday, July 23rd Nora, in her 94th year died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Formerly of Tonamace, Corrandulla. Predeceased by her husband Larry, parents, sister Mary, brothers John, Patrick, Michael and James, and by her daughter-in-law Catherine. Much-loved mother of John (Seán), Padraic, Oliver, Áine, Laurence, Michael, Brendan, and Jarlath. Deeply mourned by her sons and daughter, daughters-in-law, Máire, Annette, Carol, and Suzanne, fourteen adored grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Sadly, missed also by her brother Joe and sister-in-law Kathleen (US), nephews and nieces, neighbours and friends.

May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace

Funeral Arrangements

Friday, July 25, 2025 Nora will Repose at Conneely's Funeral Home, Flood Street (H91A786) from 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.

Please note the reposing venue.

Saturday, July 26, 2025 A Requiem Mass in loving memory of Nora will take place in St. Augustine’s Church, Middle Street at 12 noon. Private cremation to follow.

The family would like to sincerely thank all the hospice-at-home medical team, the Community Nurses Bríd and Olivia, and Dr. Sinéad Murphy for the exceptional care and kindness they gave Nora over the recent months, and the support shown to the family.
