On Thursday, September 11, 2025, Micheál completed his life’s journey in his 51st year following an illness at home. Predeceased by his beloved parents John and Joan and by his dearly loved siblings Siobhán and Shane.

Mourned by his partner Marie Higgins, daughters Chloe and Siofra, brothers Liam and Diarmuid, sisters-in-law Fionnuala and Carole, nieces Eirwen and Saileog, Rebecca, Jessica, Ava, Abbie and Lauren, very close friends Richard Hurley, Niall Cunningham, Fergal O’Connor and Martin Hanley, the extended Reilly and Higgins family, neighbours and friends.

May his gentle soul rest in peace

Funeral Arrangements

Monday, September 15th, 2025

Micheál will Repose at ‘Síoraíocht’ within the grounds of The Church of the ‘Assumption and St. James’, Claregalway from 5 p.m.. Removal at 6.30 p.m. into the Church. (Please be aware the evening Rosary commences in the Church at 7 p.m. and Daily Mass at 7.30 p.m.)

Tuesday, September 16th, 2025

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Micheál at 11.30 a.m. and following Mass he will be laid to rest with his family in Claregalway cemetery. Mass will be live streamed on this link Claregalway – ChurchTV
