Celebration of Life Announcement

 

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Mc Donnell who died at his home in London on 14th May 2025.

Michael is predeceased by his daughter Jo-Anne

Michael will be forever loved and deeply missed by his partner Tracy, his adored children Coren and Aoife, his mother Esther, her partner Mick, sisters Ber and Jean, Jean’s husband Tony and his wider family circle and friends who were lucky enough to know him.

 

Michael touched so many lives with his humour, warmth and generosity, whether on the football pitch, in conversation or through the friendships he nurtured over the years. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him both in Ireland and the UK.

 

To honour Michael’s memory and celebrate his life, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday 12th July 2025 at 7p.m. at Cobh Ramblers FC a place that held special meaning for him.

 

All who knew Michael are warmly invited to come together for an evening of remembrance, music and community. It will be a time to reflect, share stories and celebrate his life in the spirit he lived it, full of heart, humour and compassion.

 

In Michael’s memory, a fundraiser has been created to support two causes close to his heart: mental health awareness and Football For All, a programme that provides inclusive football opportunities for children with additional needs.
