Michael Devaney

The death has occurred of Michael Devaney, Tubbercurry and formerly of Achonry, Co. Sligo in his 91st year in the excellent care of the staff in the Medical Offsite ward at Sligo University Hospital (3rd June 2025).

 

Predeceased by his parents John and Annie, sisters Nora, Mary and Ann, his brother Hugh, son John and John's mother Bernie.

 

Michael will be sadly missed by his brother Jack, sister Margaret, sisters in law Peggie and Anne, his grandson Jack, Jack’s mother Mary and Michael’s carer Paul, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

 

Rest in Peace

 

Michael will repose at the Knocknashee Community Hub Lavagh (F56W744) from 5pm on Friday 6th June, with removal at 6:30pm to the church of St. Nathy and St. Brigid Achonry (F91X998), arriving at 7pm.

 

Michael's funeral Mass will take place at 12 noon on Saturday 7th June with burial afterwards in St. Nathy’s cemetery, Achonry.
