May (Mary) Callan

The death has occurred of May (Mary) Callan (née Hoey), Creevy Oliver, Carrickmacross, peacefully in the tender loving care of the staff of Castleross Nursing Home, 30th August 2025. Predeceased by her husband Owen (Owenie), son David, daughter Yvonne, brothers Joe and Michael. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her forever loving family, daughters Mary, Madge and Frances (Jeff), her son Gerald and Brian (Lisa), and her grandchildren Sean, Aisling, Sinead and Aoibheann, sister-in-law Mary Hoey, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Deery’s Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 C653, on Monday from 4pm to 8pm. Removal on Tuesday evening (2nd Sept) arriving to St. Lastra’s Church, Donaghmoyne, A81 P978 for prayers of reception at 7pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday morning (3rd Sept) at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Carrickmacross.
